Ambassadorial Scholarships

This committee is responsible for the promotion and selection of candidates for the Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship program.  The Ambassadorial Scholarship is a one-year academic scholarship to study abroad.  Committee members promote the scholarship at colleges and through the club to find suitable candidates.  The club interviews candidates with one representative selected to interview at the District level.

Group Study Exchangeg

This committee is responsible for promoting the program and soliciting applications.  Committee will also act as liaison with District committee.  Group Study Exchange (GSE) is a Rotary International program in which teams of young professionals travel to other countries to learn from their counterparts in that country and to be goodwill ambassadors for Rotary.

Rotary International Foundation

This committee is responsible for increasing knowledge of and promoting support for the Rotary International Foundation.   Committee members will promote Paul Harris fellowships and other donations to the RIF to fund Rotary programs.

World Community Service

This committee is responsible for finding international service projects in which the club will participate through matching grants.  Committee members will work with international clubs to identify and select projects.  Members will work with partner clubs to submit matching grants to RI.

Youth Exchange

This committee is responsible for all aspects of the Youth Exchange program.  The Youth Exchange program brings high school students from abroad to San Antonio.  Our District in turns sends local students abroad.  Students are placed in schools and remain for the school year.   Committee members are responsible for working with local high schools who will accept students, finding host families for students, bringing students to club meetings and functions as well as District meetings and functions.  Members are also responsible for promoting the program and recruiting local students to travel abroad.  Members work closely with the District.
